Challenge
Traditional CNC machine control training lacked a realistic hands-on experience. To help manufacturing and industrial workers understand basic CNC machining and ensure safe operations on the worksite it was critical to have the virtual training as close to the real one as possible. Visual experience only was not enough to ensure machine safety, learn CNC drilling, malfunction response, control panel functions, and machine setup.
Implementation of Haptic Gloves
Veyond Metaverse developed a VR training program using SenseGlove Nova. Thanks to force-feedback SenseGlove Nova enabled users to feel the controller in their hand, while vibrotactile feedback allowed the users to feel the impact of button presses.
Results
Veyond Metaverse VR training program provides an immersive and hands-on experience for CNC machine control training, improving practical skills and muscle memory.
