SenseGlove raise 3,25 million euros in Series A funding round led by Lumaux!

[Delft, Netherlands – 19.04.2023] – SenseGlove, a leading provider of haptic gloves for virtual and augmented reality, has announced that it has raised 3,25 million euro in a Series A funding round led by Lumaux, a venture capital firm that invests in innovative technology companies. The new investors will join the SenseGlove advisory board.

The funding will be used to accelerate SenseGlove’s growth and innovation, with a focus on advancing the haptics technology for the current SenseGlove Nova gloves and increasing its global presence. The investment will also be used to develop new hand haptic products and to open an office in the United States, to better serve its growing North American customer base.

“We are thrilled to have Lumaux as our partner in this exciting new phase of our growth,” said Frank Goovaerts, CEO of SenseGlove. “This investment will allow us to continue to innovate and accelerate the development of hand haptics technology, as well as strengthen our position as a leader in haptic technology for virtual and augmented reality.

SenseGlove’s haptic gloves allow users to interact in VR naturally and train muscle memory by providing the feeling of size, stiffness, and impacts of virtual objects.

SenseGlove has been used by a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, and education. The company’s technology has been praised for its ease of use and scalability: both versions of SenseGlove products (the DK1 and the Nova) have been implemented by over 500 companies including Volkswagen, P&G and the Royal Dutch Army.

Lumaux’s investment in SenseGlove reflects its commitment to support Dutch innovative companies that are pushing the boundaries of technology. Tom Krieckaert, fund manager at Lumaux: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with SenseGlove. Their ground-breaking technology and talented and diverse team align perfectly with our investment criteria. We are confident that this partnership will yield significant value for everyone involved. We look forward to supporting SenseGlove as they continue to revolutionize the virtual and augmented reality landscape.”

Previously SenseGlove raised funding from various international investors, including Forward. One and Value Creation Capital. The total funding raised to date is about 5,5 million euro.
