Challenge to solve
A fast-growing workforce and an evolving hybrid workspace were some of the main challenges faced
by Accenture, DVSI’s client. Employees needed to learn essential procedures—such as fire
extinguishing measures for kitchen safety or how to correctly load an ATM—requiring scalable and
effective training solutions. In a rapidly changing digital landscape, immersive technology was the
ideal way to address these needs.
Implementation of haptic gloves
DVSI designed and built a dedicated Learning Centre for Accenture, fully equipped with advanced VR
and haptic technology, including the SenseGlove DK1 haptic gloves. The DK1 allowed employees to
train in VR scenarios, realistically interacting with virtual tools and equipment. Trainees could feel the size and resistance of the objects they handled, making the experience more intuitive and engaging. This hands-on practice enhanced both skill retention and application.
The results
Through the use of the DK1 haptic gloves, Accenture employees gained access to a more effective
and immersive training experience. The haptic feedback provided critical sensory cues, enabling the
brain to learn procedures more effectively. This hands-on practice enhanced both skill retention and
application.
The success of DVSI’s Learning Centre has led to its expansion in other geographies, becoming a
key element in Accenture’s commitment to optimal employee development through immersive
technology.
